My Little Brother's Birthday Celebration

On November 27 it was my little brother’s birthday and also my cousin, we did allot of fun things for my brother’s celebration, first we went to the duck pond for a wake up call at the duck pond my mum, Tevita (little brother) and I built sand castle and all sort of stuff it was so much fun. We head back home to get ready for our next activity, Swimming. We arrived at the swimming pools all dressed up, my little brother and I was really excited, we got into the pool and started swimming. I was starting to get bored playing around myself while my brother played with a boy he meet, I changed pools and walked over to the small pools, all of a sudden sadden I saw Andrea swimming with her cousin Hope I jumped in and stated to play with her. It was five o’clock it was time for me to go, Tevita and I was exhausted that when we arrived at home we went to bed then after we slept we ate K.F.C and it was delicious.

My Reflection About This Year

Sometimes I wonder how well I do at school, my teacher says I am a bright girl but my writing is mumble jumble and I do agree with him. Reading and Maths I’m doing great, my goal next year is to keep out of drama’s and stay on task during class. I have been thinking about what kind of things I have been involved in and what fun times I did at camp and school.
This year I have really enjoyed having a Netbook to work on because I learn more with the Internet and find information by searching, another thing is I write allot so I can get better and better and there are allot more reasons about why I enjoy working on my Netbook. Furthermore having a Netbook has meant so much for me and my parents, because my parents wants me to grow up to be a intelligent women, most definitely the best thing is going on to different and exciting sites. The hardest thing for me is staying out of my Netbook and waiting patiently.
This year was the best year of school for me, taking with me during the holidays the memories. Next year I can’t wait to be a year seven and to meet my knew teacher and friends.

I LOVE To Play Guitar

I was the age 10 when I first learnt how to play guitar and my big brother was my teacher who taught me how to play, it was quiet difficult to my sister learning to bar, I can play some songs and my big brother can play all sort of songs. My favourite song to play on guitar was Halo by Beyonce, this time I didn't learn from my brother I learnt from YouTube online, I sometimes use YouTube to help me play guitar and my big brother. I love to play to my family and show other people, when I grow up I want to play guitar, piano and drums, I also want to be a great singer.

Camp Bentzon 2011

“Have you been to Kawau Island”?I have, its allot of fun we do fun activities and allot of long running but this was going to be a great experience for me.

We arrived at Kawau Island for our walk (actually a HIKE!) I was quiet excited and a little bit hungry, we went threw allot of rocks and steep hills and it was exhausted. While our hike carried on we saw some pretty views and people private territory’s, we arrived at a beach with a beautiful view and had lunch there. We skipped rocks, chucked rocks it was quite boring, we head back to Camp Bentzon with our carve mussels pumping while hiking up the hills. I really did like the hike we did at the begining of camp.

“Have you ever done a confidences course”? Well I have, its really fun but quite freaky. Before doing the confidence course you must learn to use the three points of contact and also the funniest strategy, the skill was when you reach for the log at the top the people that are cheering says “HUG YOUR MAMA”! and is funny. I was confident but at the same time a little bit nervous, my favourite part about confidence course was the flying tyres and my dislike is the monkey bars.

Even dough I was sick at camp it was an awesome and great opportunity. My favourite memory at Camp Bentzon was my first time getting into volleyball and getting to know the parent helpers, its was good memories back at Camp Bentzon, but I happy to be back at home.

My Hometown Parade

To my absolute amazement, I saw a parade happening at Glen Innes so I begged my mum if we could go she said “Yes” I was exited. We arrived at the parade and saw people representing there culture and some dressing up as fairy-tales it was fun. A lady near-by asked if I liked to try some popcorn “CRUNCH, CRUNCH!” the popcorn was nice, sweet, crunchy and also salty, so I sweetly asked my mum if I could bye one pack, she said back “Yep”. Happily walking towards us was my little brothers friends from his Maris rugby team he asked my mum if he can hang around with them and she said yes so it was my mum and me.
My mum and I explored GI, looking for something to do. After a while my mum left my little brother and I to go touch animals at the parade, my brother Tevita and I was enjoying patting the animals. There was sheep's, a pig, a goat with its two babies, ducks, hamsters, birds and my favourite one the rabbit. Minutes went past and it was time to go home and have a nap.

I was exhausted after an awesome day at the parade. I will love to go to another GI parade someday.

Golden Retrievers

My favourite animal in the world is defiantly a puppy because they are sooo cute, cuddly, fun to play with and all sorts of things. I will loveeee to have one when I grow up and will take extra good care for it. The kind of puppy I will like is a golden retriever because they are used for gun dogs to retrieve shot waterfowl such as ducks and upland game birds during hunting and shooting parties which are interesting. Golden retrievers are friendly and are the fifth most popular family dog breed in the United States. To keep them warm they use a dense inner coat that provides it with adequate warmth and the outer coat is sleek and water repellent, and lies flat against the body.So that is why I love to have a golden retriever puppy when I grow up.

Pt England Cross Country

Weeks ago Pt England had Cross Country and everybody was nervous to competes but they tried. The yr 6 11 year old waited and waited until it our turn, standing up nervous that I was going to come last peopled cheered. In a straight line the girls were standing ready to go “BANG!” Mr Burt did a big clap, I started to jog butterflies filled my tummy.

While running I saw beautiful views and some ugly and smelly views too. The ocean was the most beautiful thing. Along my long run I saw yr seven’s as Marshall's to help along the way if we get lost and I also saw some teachers. It was when I got up to Miss King and in the distance I saw my sister walking with her friends. I started puffing and even started to get tired I was really exhausted and I really wanted to stop but I kept on going.

I was nearly to the end so I started to run and trying to beat others but I was too tired. So I pushed it and tyred my best, I was closed to the end so I started to sprint it, my hardest. As I went past the end people cheered “WOOHOOO!” I was proud.

It was a great opportunity for others and me and I finally made it to the end.

The Movie "Tangled" Script

“This is the story of how I died, but don’t worry this is actually a very fun story and the truth is its not even mine. This is a story of a girl named Rapunzel, and it starts with the sun. Now once upon a time a single drop of sun light fell from the heavens. And from this small drop of sun grew a magic golden flower, it had the ability to heal the sick and injured. Oh you see that old women over there you might wanna remember her she’s kind of important, well centres past and a hop, skip and a boat ride away, there grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by a beloved King and Queen, and the Queen well she was about to have a baby but she got sick, really sick. She was running out of time and that's when people usually start to look for a miracle or in this case a magic golden flower.
Ah I told you she’ll be important, you see instead of sharing the sun’s gift this women, mother gothem horded its healing power and used it to keep herself young for hundreds of years and all she had to do is sing a special song, “flower gleam and glow, let your power shine, make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine what once was mine”.
“Alright you get the jest she sing to it she gets young creepy, right”?
“We found it”, the magic of the golden flower healed the Queen a healthy baby girl, a princess was born with beautiful golden hair (King gives a happy chuckle) (happy sounds of a baby) (Queen gives a happy squeak) I’ll give you a hint that’s Rapunzel to celebrate her birth the King and Queen launched a flying lantern into the sky and for that one moment everything was perfect........ (firework noise) and then that moment ended “flower gleam and glow, let your power shine, make the clock re (old lady gasps) (baby crying) gothem broken into the castle stole the child and just like that, GONE! The kingdom searched and searched but they could not find the princess for deep with in the forest in a hidden tower. Gothem raise the child as her own, “take what has been lost bring back what once was mine” Gothem had found her new magic flower, but this time she was determined to keep it hidden.
“Why can’t I go out side?”
“The outside world is a dangerous place, filled horrible self fish people, you must stay here where your safe do you understand flower”
“Yes mummy”
But the walls of that tower could not hide everything.......... each year on her birthday the King and Queen released thousands of lanterns in the sky. In hope that one day there lost princess would return............

Thinking About The Past, Netball

Ring Ring! The bell rang “yes” I whispered to myself, Ramona and I ran to the hall with excitement in our tummies hoping that our game doesn't cancel like last weeks game. Searching and searching I did not see my uniform until Miss Va’afusuanga said “oh I left it at home” so she left school to get my uniform. I waited and waited and in the distance I see Miss Va’afusuanga walking slowly holding a bag, I was happy. After I had got changed we had delicious snack’s that was in the staff room and a little of Ms Nua’s food she brought from home. Then it was time to go, so we got into two groups and went in separate cars. We arrived at the courts ready for our game and hoped that we will win, at the end of our game we won and was really happy.

Badminton

For a few weeks Rm 18 has been having lessons of badminton and was trained by a professional instructor. We had some beginners that were really confident and some that were struggling. After learning and getting the handle of it we went into challenging with others. “I was really excited because I knew I wasn't going to miss a hit, Jokes”.

The lessons we did was backhand, forehand, under legs and how to hold a racket properly. Some lessons were boring and some were funny, but the trick shots were interesting to watch. After watching the lessons we haded to find a partner and try out the lessons we were told to do. The lesson I liked the most was when we had to trust our partner chucking the shuttle and try to hit the it between the legs.

I really loved it, with the good and funny times we had, it was a really great experience for my class. I hope I can see them again next year and do badminton again too. “I LOVE BADMINTON”!

My Sick Days

All tucked up into bed,warm and snugly to get better. Sick and not going to school, boring. Staying home is quiet cool but sometimes uninteresting, there’s nothing to do at home but lie down. Sick is not really fun but is cool because you don’t do work. After a few days I was back on my feet, ready to go school. I arrived at school happy and exited to be back from sickness, in the distance I see Jasmine walking up. As she came closer and closer I shouted out “HI”. She sat down with me and whispered “Its my BIRTHDAY” I stood up and gave her a big hug and said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASMINE”. We ate some delicious afghan cookies which her mum and dad, with chocolate fudge and a marvelous cake which they brought.It felt good to be back at school, with all my friends and teachers is where I feel good the most.

Cross Country!! For Year 8 And 7

This week the year seven’s and eight’s had Cross Country. Some competitors were nervous and some were confident. I was ready because I didn't feel neither of them cause I am an year six and my job was to be a marshal, to make sure all the competitors go the right way, it was fun. While the competitors came past I cheered and clapped for them for courage. Finaly Cross Country was over, meeting everyone back at the courts to see who made it in to the intermediate zone.
It was an awsome day!!

Thinking About The Term!

My goal for term 3 is to listen, focus and to improve my academic levels.
This term I'm looking forward to cooking with my teacher Mr Barks and also learning about the Rugby World Cup. At school I'm working on focusing and not sneaking around with my Net-book.I try my best to improve in class and make my teacher proud. School is cool and I really enjoy learning about all kinds of stuff.
When I read I start to build my comprehension in reading.

Fresh Juice

This Term our class had an opportuniuty of making cups of fresh juice made by a canadian fruit juicer. The juicer is from the Champion brand. Mr Barks brought the juicer with him from Canada. It was fun making juice that is Better and Faster which is part of our topic for this term.

Science

It was a sunny afternoon when we walked down to Tamaki College for a roadshow, when we arrived at TC there was another school that was learning about science. At the time that they were learning room 21, 19 and 18 sat down and was ready to learn, the topic we were learning about was Hot and Cold. Then the instructors told us that we could explore around and touch things, they also said that there is a set of cards that you ha to answer and can get a small prize. My eyes was really surprise of what has been made by such has been made by such clever people and how they made it. After all the drama we had to sit back down on the chairs to learn about another topic about our bodies and what we do with them, we learned so much after we went to school we talked about it and wrote about it to.

Meter Swim

For the last few days, we Room 18 has been swimming at the Y.M.C.A pools we have practicing how to swim METERS! if we were in a situation of drowning we would have to swim and that’s why we are swimming meters far. I have practise allot and I have improved, for the first time I swam 2 and a half meters but now I have swam 20m, my goal was I trying to beat my highest meter swim and I could not. Some people like Tyla and Kingston had the highest meter swim ever. My goal that I was trying to reach was beating my meter swim. After swimming we will have a 5 minute change and if you came out early you get bonus points for being good. Everybody in the class was really exhausted of swimming and had to run to school if we didn't keep with the group Mr Barks will make us run and do push ups and that will be difficult after swimming.

Tamaki College

For the last few weeks, team 4 had an opportunity to go to Tamaki college and do fun activities with the year 12 students, we were really excited and shocked, I thinked to myself why us and not the older kids. When we arrived at Tamaki College we got split into groups, a few of my group members were getting entertained by our leaders with the game bull rush,touch, across the ocean, over the fence and human chain the most favourite one I liked the most was Human Chain I liked it because it was fun and interesting. At the end of the day we always get treats well actually not always only sometimes but still I had a great time. While we were playing bull rush two girls slipped on the muddy grass and was not hurt but was crying we were laughing but it wasn't really that funny after a while they started to laugh about it. After a few weeks it was the last day of fitness we had so much fun and was really sad in a happy way we said our goodbyes in the end of the session and said our thanks, I was really hoping that we could see each other in the future I wondered.

T2W1 The Mysterious Theme

Waking up to a rainy and windy morning was not a good time, I thinked to myself “What is the theme going to be for this term”! So I got change and waited until it was 8:00, TICK! Its 8:00 I ran to the van filled with joy, seeing all my friends and teachers were such an exclusive excitement. Knowing that it was Oshania's Birthday I had no gift to give her but a big cuddle. I hopped out of the van and ran to my class, I was exhausted and then I looked around and saw many kids were really happy to be back from there adventures holidays.

Netball

This is Miss Tito's Netball Team, I am on the bottom next to Vivienne. This is when we finished our game challenging Holly Cross. I love playing netball it is my sports. My favourite netball player for Silver Fern's is Maria Tutaia. I love Miss Tito she is the best coach ever and Mrs Nua. Thank you for reading.

My Best Friends

This year I've made new friends with Jasmine and Chanel there like my sisters they are awesome and kind, they stand by me everyday. They are my family and my faith and I will share with them courage them and I will do anything for them and that's what Best buddies do. I enjoy playing with them and sharing secrets its allot of fun.

Swimarama Camp

Waiting in a line downstairs for my turn I shiver with cold and with allot of examined. Finally its my turn walking upstairs slowly I wait in a norther line watching kids going down the hider slide. Then after waiting and watching it was my turn I was afraid but I over calm my fairs it and sat on a blue wet chair and waited for the green light to go GREEN, WHOOSH of I go in the dark slide screaming turning and twisting around.Sliding in the darkness I see light from ahead then SPLASH! standing up with a happy face I smile and walk upstairs and have a second turn.

Mary L My 2010 Refelection

This year I’ve enjoyed camp,making movies,trips and google apps. Learning about Google Apps was the most amazing thing making my new password was really hard to think of and remembering my crazy number was really easy. Things that I like to do more often is helping people like my teachers or friends. To work harder I have to keep on task to make our movies and not be lazy. Some of my memories were quiet funny but the best memory was going to camp Kayaking,Rock Climbing,Skate Land,Ten Pin Bowling and the final best swimarma we went to the swimming pool because it was our last day. My goal for next year is to make it into talent camp for the year 6 Netball Team. The best way to learn for me is to go into groups and talk about it or you can sit on the floor while your teacher explains what to learn. The most thing that I’ve improved is filming and exporting.
